January of 2022

There’s this – the dullest possible landscape photo, taken yesterday morning, on a rather short and muddy walk on the hills nearby the house. I opened Lightroom today, only to find similarly boring photos taken exactly one year ago. At that time, I was hoping the pandemic would end, and we’d resume our small, uneventful lives as if it had never happened. One year later, I walked with no such expectations, thinking instead about the twelve months of constant worries, moderate accomplishments, redundant failures, and everything in-between. Maybe I will make a post about the good things I can list about 2021, that would feel like sorting the few remaining good apples in a basket, after the winter. Anyway, until then, I am wishing everyone who stops by this post, a happy and prosperous new year!
